No one voted against the Afghanistan war– except for Barbara Lee (calif). (i thought kuchinch voted against afg war, but was mistaken).

Hillary voted for the iraq war–iirc, with reservations?? But with all of the anitwar protests, and popularity of Dean, a bunch of democrats, including Hillary, became more outspoken against the war. crap. wasn’t even daddy bush against the war? i mean, daddy bush did not support baby bush’s war until his silence was questioned.

    but i digress….

If Hillary said that she was against the Iraq war, she is twisting the truth for her own advantage.

    • http://etane.net/ etane

most people were afraid to vote against iraq resolution but no one actually voted for war. bush used the resolution which is used to defend US against another attack to invade iraq.

cheney was the one that told bush sr to not take out saddam during iraq 1.

      • Phonow

lol. dick was not ceo of halliburton yet. like a spider, he waited for the right time to strike.

gosh, whenever i think of the bush years, i feel like the conspiracy nut in movies– with pictures, dates, and strings connecting it all. I am past it now & prefer figuring out the different incarnations of jl.net trolls. lol.

        • http://etane.net/ etane

yup it’s water under the bridge. no point in crying over spilt milk. wouldn’t mind it if the “evil doers” were locked in jail though.

          • Phonow

did you watch the game? hornets vs hawks?

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i saw part of it. feels like he’s back in houston.

          • Phonow

i took advantage of free league pass, but did not watch most of the game. in a way, i rather read the comments because the game is way to fast for me. hahaha. i’m like: something happened, but i am not sure what.

anyway, you should go to sleep…. another (aarrrrgghhh) work week starts tomorrow. :(

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i read some comments too. i usually just follow Joe’s perspective. but i do think it’s weird that the same players who played with lin during pre-season all of a sudden forgot how to set picks and roll or even how to not pass to someone who is not their own teammate makes me almost think they are sabotaging either that or lin’s teammates are nervous.

          • Phonow

i like joe too. not that i understand what he is saying, but because he is the only adult in the room. my fave is Llips–a wild lady who brings a lot of energy into discussions. haha.

you think lin’s teammates are sabotaging him? damn. hope not. lin body language was bad yesterday–something was wrong. i remember thinking that MJ might have had a screaming fit in the locker room earlier that day. No proof, no facts, but just a feeling i had. Team & coach seemed really tense.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

not sabotage but they play so badly it affected lin’s game too… zeller was playing just like jordan hill did.

          • Phonow

read on jl,net that zeller has a mysterious disease–lost 10 lbs suddenly. mono ruled out. he will not play against bulls.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

then why was he on the floor clogging the lane and putting up lame jump shots? that’s the true mystery.

          • Phonow

today hornets exercised it’s team option on zeller. hornets must love him for some reason. they extended lamb, and did not exercise option on Hairston. what it all means, i don’t know. haha.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i guess they wanted to give hairston minutes in order to figure out whether to keep him or not. but they didn’t have to start him. how often do teams start a player in order to figure out whether or not they wanna keep him on the bench? (never).

          • Phonow

playing a sick player, and starting a guy they don’t want to keep. smh.

bill simmons (espn) said “Three most dysfunctional NBA organizations right now are the Kings, Hornets and Clippers and I am not sure of the order…” http://www.aol.com/article/2015/08/25/bill-simmons-spills-the-nbas-best-kept-secret-on-twitter/21227357/ (take off your headphones or you will have your eardrums blown out)

Lew Alciiiiindooooor. Amazing guy. love the story about the pilots inviting him up into the cockpit. lol! every pilot’s fantasy.

that man fought for civil rights before it was cool.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

well he IS a black man so … whereas bernie has been fighting for civili rights before it was cool for white people haha.

          • Phonow

it is much more dangerous for a black man to stand up for civil rights. a white man will have some stigma attached to him (n-lover), but Kareem could have lost everything.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

being a black man he had more to gain and more impetus to join the civil rights movement. being a budding basketball star meant he had more to lose if the nba blackballs him… so true… he has more to lose. but, as a black person, he wasn’t an early adopter of the civil rights movement. whereas, bernie is an early adopter as he was doing it earlier and for longer than just about any white person.

          • Phonow

i admire bernie and everyone else who gets off their butt & shows up. even more kudos to bernie for speaking out against a racist system that was entrenched.

lol. kareem is a bit too young to have been involved in the early civil rights movement. he became active in his early twenties– like a lot of us. in our youth, we feel we could make a real change. And sometimes, in the right place, at the right time, yes, people can make a change.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

yah he would’ve been 16 when MLK was assassinated…

          • Phonow

LOL. just glanced at jl.net: there is a poll that crutchpants put out: who is the nuttiest Lin fan:

            http://freeonlinesurveys.com/p/T4UcStB6?qid=750802

          • http://etane.net/ etane

no votes yet…? i see blank when i clicked “see results” maybe the page doesn’t work.

          • Phonow

try again, there are a number of votes. :)

          • http://etane.net/ etane

just voted for kh. he’s far in the lead. linmad is creeping up on him whoever he is. probably kh’s secret account.

          • Phonow

i voted for linmad. check out his petition. okay, okay, it may be just a joke. but with LinFans, you never know. lol linmad has been kicked off of a couple of sites–clutchfans, lakersnation. offhand, don’t remember his former username.

            https://www.change.org/p/adam-silver-michael-jordan-steve-clifford-nba-charlotte-hornets-rich-cho-nba-commentators-nba-referees-petition-to-stop-the-racism-ignorance-in-nba-regarding-jeremy-lin?recruiter=420465778&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink

          • http://etane.net/ etane

joyce ward should go there to sign.

          • Phonow

hope linmad does NOT post his petition there. shudder.

          • Phonow

            KH: 38%
            Hitchens: 41%
            JuanCesta: 26%

          • http://etane.net/ etane

maybe it’s a browser thing i don’t see it maybe cuz i didn’t vote. hitchens i concur. kh isn’t even a lin fan.

          • Phonow

i think you have to vote to be able to see the results. lol. i gave reagan a vote, just because. hahahahaha

          • Phonow

if kissinger and oliver north are living the good life, then cheney will remain unscathed.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

but benghazi… THAT deserves 9 congressional hearings.. reminds me of arthur miller’s crucible.

          • Phonow

lol. two strikes against me. never read the crucible… and don’t remember Benghazi. Read a little in wiki– are you referring to the 2011 revolution?

          • http://etane.net/ etane

not sure whether it was a revolution but it happened on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 i think.

ha issues trump ideology. people should be brand/party agnostic.

people who join the repubs have to do a loyalty oath? haha

          • Phonow

            2011 revolution: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benghazi#2011_Revolution
2012 attack on embassy happened on 911/2012.

just reading the word “trump” sends me into a catatonic state for 20 minutes. america scares me. how did it ever get so bad?

i do not think repug party has a loyalty oath, but portal does. i have to admit i lurk there all the time. more entertaining than the roman colosseum.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

see you do know about the crucible!

          • Phonow

hahahaha. okay, you forced me to look up the Crucible. so true so true. the latest fight on portal was KH screaming & threatening to leave if mods did not ban opentruth. lol. it really was a monty python witch trial.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

kh goes to the portal too? i thought he said he was done with the portal.

          • Phonow

kh left portal after a fight with joyce watson. i guess people got on her for being too emotional, so she stepped down as mod. psalm emailed kh to come back. hahaha. kh is good for bumping up #’s. kh took advantage of his “celebrity” & used it to ban open truth. he did not relent until the ban was confirmed.

too bad. joyce was a great mod–always just one inch away from total meltdown.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

joyce was a great mod? i heard she banned whoever that didn’t agree with her. same with the flip girl.

          • Phonow

cough cough. THAT is why joyce & izJane are great mods. haha creepy voice: “i like to watch…” Sort of like a bb fan site snuff film.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

well now joyce can’t say she has inside info cuz her “brothers” knows a lot about the lakers.

          • Phonow

in some ways, i am grateful for portal. a lot of the self righteous fringe nut cases are quarantined.
