Really it’s not that my creativity is running dry, but I really really wanted to immerse ourselves in this made-for-tourists multi-culturalism in what we call LA downtown where we can partake in the sea of disposable chatskis and bad ethnic food..
Ellis dancing to the beat of the street performers’ drums It seems she really enjoys being the center of attention.
Playing with her new “G-String”. I think the G stands for guitar.
Ellis is still the eager beaver when it comes to going out and about. Her favorite question is still “where are we going today?” She can ask this 20, 30 times a day. During new years, she was constantly asking “why” questions. But, that has since died down.
Her sleeping and eating has been gradually on the slide. She has no problem falling asleep at night. But, she is easier to wake. There’s been birds chirping in the trees outside our house at 4am. Dunno why but the seemingly cute sounding chirps is spooking Ellis. She’d wake up for an hour or so before going back to bed after she’s affirmed the chirping sound is negligible. Eating wise, her picky-o-meter has been on the risie. It probably has to do with her disrupted sleep cycle.
Another new feature of her’s is she doesn’t like it when I even attempt to reach for the TV remote. I am happy about this because I thought she was watching too much TV during the last quarter or so of the year. And, I told her that watching too much TV is bad, so it seems she took what I said to heart. I think she doesn’t want me to waste time with TV, because it competes for time that could be used to spend with her. She’s been very very demanding about me partipating with her in imaginary play, mostly “lion chasing sheep” (a beast-version of tag). Somehow, she’s addicted to this game.
Lastly, she’s getting demanding in regards to her music choice. Today’s music selection is her current favorite. I think Enno is a very good role model for Ellis. I think Ellis loves the idea that Enno plays a mean guitar. Her music is not bad either. She’s also made waves in Taiwan because of her gender bending.
Ellis takes a bow.
