Well, it’s about time you made a new entry. lol. i was beginning to wonder if you decided to leave your old life behind and spend the rest of your life in France. :)

I dropped by because Andrien was inquiring about you at jl.net. He may drop by–says he is from Paris, but currently living in London.

    • http://etane.net/ etane

lol glad people/person still remember me with all the free agency stuff going on haha. i remember he reads the forum via phone while going to/from work on da tube.

      • Phonow

Andrien mentioned he already posted a comment on your “lovely photos of Paris.” So… you may have to dig through older entries.

Have Faith still mentions you too. :) I just talked with her a day or two ago. I mentioned your blog, but she does not want to be seen as a stalker. haha. Told her that etane hasn’t called the authorities on me… yet. Who knows? She may come over yet.

You should check out jl.net. We’re talking about you……. son of voltaire….

        • http://etane.net/ etane

relatively easy to find his post. generally, if there is an odd # of post on that page, it means someone added a new comment haha.

and i welcome all stalkers. if they become overbearing i can always ip ban.

son of voltaire? is that who people think is me?

          • Phonow

haha. I will tell Have Faith–you welcome her as a stalker.

No, they were not guessing you were son of voltaire –I did.

quote: “Phonow: lol. sometimes i think truthinbasketball (?) is meta and sometimes, i think voltaire’s son is etane. haha. truthfully, i can’t tell.”

Anyway– Andrien misses you for your quick wit. Webattorney said you & meta were good posters, okay apart, but cats n dogs together. KHuang said you were okay, meta, not.

Charles liked you: “I think etane actually was not that bad. Very intellegent actually. Just
that he get carry away with the delusional Metalogic. That is usually
what happen when you put two extreme together. The smart one make the
dumb one feel like the fool. The fool get angry, and say stupid things.
The smart one take advantage of his stupidity. Then it become a game of
cat playing with the mouse. I was surprise etane actually got banned.”

I don’t remember what other people said–and disqus will not let me scroll down to the actual conversation. No one said anything bad about you. :)

          • http://etane.net/ etane

all i can say is charles is very wordy. hahahaha

thanks for bringing some of the “love” over from the other forum… appreciate it = P

          • Phonow

haha. charles. not my favorite poster, unless he actively psychoanalyzes someone (KH, the pronia-an).

hey, laetitia is back. Her new name is Llips. Spunky lady. glad she is posting again.

Other than that, forum is same: same hopes/dreams/debbie downers as before. sigh.

Chris’s next job is in Aransas, Texas– a one year gig. Gads, I feel so sorry for young people. Such a nomadic life. Hope that one day, he’ll make his way back to Hawaii.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

next job? but he just started the kansas one. it was a 6 month contract? come to think of it i haven’t been to his blog for awhile. what was he doing in hawaii other than wooing women and causing trouble at city hall?

          • Phonow

Yep, 6 mo contract. Worked at Walmart, while going to school. Now that he has his degree (B.S.)–he is taking whatever job he can in order to build his resume. He wants to work for the Park Service. He is also continuing his education–beefing up his undergrad degree, then going for his masters.

haha. Chris just got a certificate from City Hall for his outstanding service to the community. The Thorn got a certificate.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

well he didn’t update his blog. guess he’s been very busy as well. i admire his gumption to move to where the job is. thinking outside his box when it comes to building his career. i don’t even bother looking outside of a 20 minute commute = X.

city hall probably gave him a certificate thinking chris would bug them less if they can get on his good side.

          • Phonow

He said internet speed out there sucks big time, so he spends less time online. He probably does facebook.

Yeah, I respect him for juggling so many side projects- and also doing what it takes to get a good career.

lol. We were joking that C&C gave him the certificate because they are SO grateful he left the islands.

It sounds to me that you are secure in your career. It would not be fair to your family to drag them all over the place. 6 mo here, year there. So… do 20 min. commute, come home and hug little LS.

            How is daddy’s girl doing?

          • http://etane.net/ etane

Not secure about my career at all in fact not sure what to do about it haha.

            LS is doing great now.

          • Phonow

Oh my gosh. She is growing up too fast. Sky hooks yet? No… she looks too sweet to posterize daddy. :)

I hear you re: career. Hated my job enough that I retired very early. Am hoping to survive by being very frugal. I was lucky because my state job offered a pension, and free medical

Are you interested in Federal jobs? My hubbie is pretty good at finding openings in fedjobs.com. (he’s a union guy). He’ll also look up standards for the job you’re looking for– so you can write your resume to specs.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i don’ t think my skill sets translate well to public sector haha. i did apply for one gov job right out of college. i think it was financial institution examiner with ca division of financial institution. i took a test, scored well, got a letter to come in for interview, but letter arrived late as i had moved and letter was forwarded and arrived to me after deadline. woulda been nice to be able to get a pension if there is any available.

LS can dunk with two hands now. one ball in each hand. she’s getting quite prolific with shaq dunks hahhaha

          • Phonow

haha. Okay, but remember the Feds offer an amazing variety of jobs. :) Hubbie sent Chris a photographer job notice a bit back. Just remember fedjobs.com. And browse it whenever you feel disgruntled. lol.

I am very sure shaq is grateful to be retired. haha Not good for ego to have little girl dunk on him.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

lol i just checked jlin.net and saw this guy posted his son is born and is projected to be 190cm. so i clicked his avatar to see what else he’s posted. he posted that france is the worst economy in europe. i thought.. i needed to read more about that convesation. turns out he was responding to andrien and saw your conversation there about me haha… and i actually want to retire in genoa italy! paris too expensive haha.

          • Phonow

good morning! hahaha. we are doing the exact same thing! I always love it when someone does not mark their history “private.”

          • http://etane.net/ etane

some interesting non-basketball conversations . those were always more interesting.. such as the one about magic fingers.

          • Phonow

some of the off season talk have been fun. a lot of genetic “superiority” talk last night. interesting to hear people skirt around the issue.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i take it they are not as fond of blonde hair blue eye?

          • Phonow

            more Chinese vs black.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

size matters not vs size matters?

          • Phonow

haha. that is one way of putting it. Height.

poor KH he was flagging Open Truth and edit: [Basketball Mountain] every other statement. Too bad. He sees racism in everything. That man has such a low self esteem. He has tunnel vision & sees every statement as a personal vendetta against him.

What is that line? “we do not see things the way they are. we see them the way WE are.”

          • http://etane.net/ etane

            #khuangmatters

          • Phonow

hahhaha. you HATE hashtags. FLAGGED YOU HATER TROLL.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

            i was trying to be ironic… #failedirony…

oh.. what you wrote about we see what we see bla bla.. reminds me of something i read recently.. about confirmation bias.

          • Phonow

gads. I miss you on jl.net. It is times like these (off season blather) that you really shine. #MagicFingers–with fast internet connection. lol

haha. KH is the definition of confirmation bias….

          • http://etane.net/ etane

#yellowlivesmatter yah i woulda loved to talk to that guy who said french economy is the worst in europe haha.

          • Phonow

            Greece economy > France?

I remember him chiming in when Andrien & I were yakking. At the time, I just thought he was a random troll & ignored him.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

I would’ve liked to hear his argument… did he know what he was talking about or is he one of “those” who can’t even tell the difference between socialism and communism.

            #GreeksRGreedy

            http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2015/07/01/the-forgotten-origins-of-greeces-terrible-crisis-will-make-you-think-twice-about-whos-to-blame/

          • Phonow

he does not strike me as being the brightest bulb in the bunch. then again, neither am i. I took about a week’s worth of economics in college– and dropped the course. Did not understand any of it. hahah.

wish chris was here. you two would have a great time yakking about this. me, i’m #OneOfThose”

          • http://etane.net/ etane

no you are not one of those who view any sort of public assistance as communistic haha…

yah would be great if chris could’ve questioned that guy… “wth are you talking about?”

          • Phonow

I remember my workmate yelling at me when I said, “the us military is one of the most socialist institutions we have.” haha.

chris gave me a scare the day before. recd a email saying “I’m in the hospital…excruciating pain in lower right abdomen….” Hours later found out –kidney stone… not appendicitis.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i thought it only hurts when you pee… well that’s what i heard from others who’s gone through it.. not personal experience. is chris hospitalized? does he have insurance?

what did your work mate say? military IS socialistic. although, it does act like a private arm from time to time.

          • Phonow

No, the stone was not in the urethra– further up. doctors told him it was small enough that it will pass w/out problem. My other friend had kidney stones– in his kidney. Urinated blood– and found out later that the stones were cutting up his kidney. Doctor told him to drink more water.

haha. my workmate just hissed & sputtered. Just simple negation– no facts involved here. Like “the people that serves deserves everything they get.” haha. Um… not my point, but whatever.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

if the stone is in the urethra then it wouldn’t be called a kidney stone? = P

good to know the stones are passing though…. wonder whether if it’s his kansas diet that caused the stones to form…

          • Phonow

haha. Uretha Stone would be a good grunge band name.

eh, Chis was working outside in 115 degree, 90(?) percent humidity. Plus that guy Only drinks Mt. Dew. No plain water. I nag him a lot about his Dew drinking problem. Anyway, the doc told him that working in that kind of weather probably exacerbated the problem.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

yah once the urethra stones become famous, they can replace rolling stones as “the stones”.

that’s how it felt like california the past few days.. really muggy.. well to the same degree… but enough to make me moody enough to want to digress on the internet instead of getting anything really important done haha

          • Phonow

did your area get some rain? hope so. the good kind of rain–slow & steady.

Hawaii was pretty miserable – no trade winds, temp in 90s, and high humidity. Real feel was 100 degrees. expecting a lot of hurricanes this year. Weather is better now. :)

i spend too much time on internet. I am supposed to be making trofie. haha.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

some hurricane passed through CA i think.

            http://www.weather.com/storms/hurricane/news/southwest-flood-threat-july-2015-tropical-storm-hurricane-dolores

received some precipitation but didn’t know how much until i saw the news.

i didn’t know what trofie was until 2 months ago. best pasta i had in a long long time maybe ever. maybe i told you this already but i have alzheimer.

          • Phonow

was taking the confirmation bias test. am also part of the 78%. 16/32/64. haha. “I’m Right. Nuff said. Now where’s the article.” Would have never considered other sequences. Does this mean that I should treat reaganyears with less disdain? No, thank goodness. lol.

whoa. to me, that is so little rain to cause that much flooding. Desert living.

Oh gosh. i really should try making trofie. I have pesto in the freezer. No excuses not to. Will make an experimental batch of pasta. will report when done. haha

          • Phonow

okay. made trofie dough in bread machine. recipe says let dough rest for an hour. very stiff dough & bread machine struggled a bit. added some water to dough. Not sure if adding water will ruin pasta. lol.

you mentioned trofie “top 5 dish in your lifetime” in the Cinque Terre: riomaggiore + manarola post. The picture looked so good– I knew I had to make it.

I am having trouble trying to find a good pomodore and pesto sauce. Will make a pomodore sauce, and add a scoop of pesto.

          • Phonow

sorry for turning your blog into a cooking show. lol. cooked a small batch of trofie pasta. great texture. made it too thick– looks like silkworms. haha. now that i know where this is heading, will roll pasta much thinner. :)

          • Phonow

Okay. trofie review. will not make it again. lol. hand-rolling the pasta took much longer than expected. Then, when I made the pasta sauce, the trofie decided to form a more perfect union. They stuck together hahahah. Dough needed to be drier. Panic & re-rolling.

Unfortunately, hubbie really liked the trofie. Now that I know how dry the dough has to be… I might try regular egg pasta–and use a pasta rolling machine. :)

          • http://etane.net/ etane

lucky hubbie to have home made trofie. you can kill him if he doesn’t like them for being ungrateful haha.

          • Phonow

haha. he puts up with my culinary experiments. sometimes win, sometimes toss. Trofie was a win, but to me, dried pasta is good, and inexpensive. home-made was good, but not worth the time. Will try rolling machine next. Will decrease time spent. haha.

          • Phonow

um…. hubbie ate all of the trofie last night. I will see if he still has the evidence when he gets home tonight. am willing to mail you a sample to do trofie analysis.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

can make a “how to” photo journal of how you make trophie next time.

          • Phonow

used http://helenrennie.com/recipes/vegetarian/trofie.html and http://www.italianfoodforever.com/2010/02/how-to-make-trofie-step-by-step/ oh– I halved the recipe– made just enough for me & hubbie.

did not knead trofie– instead i dumped ingredients into a bread machine to make dough. rested the dough in fridge — and hand rolled billions of little trofies. lol. if you enjoy Halloween, the cooked trofies really do look like maggots. two little eyes and you can gross out little people. haha.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

use a syringe to fill the “maggots” with pomodoro sauce. then, eat it in front of kids during halloween. bite hard so to pomodoro sauce pops out.

          • Phonow

            hahah. you’re such a good daddy/uncle.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

kids will go home asking mom to buy maggots cuz they had maggots for dinner and tasted great.

          • Phonow

too bad we can’t gross out kids with chicken feet. they would just get hungry.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

string a bunch into a necklace.

          • Phonow

            you’re on a roll. lmao!

          • http://etane.net/ etane
          • Phonow

is that a picture of you in your office at work?

          • http://etane.net/ etane

            i don’t wear hoodies #iamtrayvon

            actually i luv hoodies

          • Phonow

hoodies is good for cool California nights.

don’t see too many hoodies in hawaii. more tank tops to beat the tropical heat.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

you don’t see a lot of grass skirts in california either which isn’t a good thing.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

no but i thought grass skirts are good for that too.

sarans are not bad either for the metro sexual.

          • Phonow

haha had to look up sarans. first thing to pop up was saran wrap. hmm.

          • http://etane.net/ etane
          • Phonow

            Whoa. totally metro, man.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

and that asgras looking guy looks like one of my old roommates.

          • Phonow

haha. must have been great at parties!

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i call him the 5’8″ ac green. he’s very good at basketball. he taught me to play the right way.

          • Phonow

Great buddie to have in college! do you still go out to play bb? iirc, you mentioned it was getting harder to get your “asgras” out there.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i go once in a while… work buddies once a week. see who can outlast each other without serious injuries… at our age that’s how we play.

          • Phonow

Good. don’t give it up. when you let something go, it’s hard to pick it up again.

there is something going on with my computer– very slow & glitchy. hope this isn’t “the end”

          • http://etane.net/ etane

scrip error? disqus is really lagging right now. i think that’s what is lagging anyways.

          • Phonow

i have script errors all of the time. never this bad. i get the message Firefox is not responding — the screen goes white, then returns to normal. takes forever even to type.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

my screen freezes when i am typing into disqus now… for like 10 seconds each time after i post… maybe someone hacked my site.

          • Phonow

            yeah, everything totally freezes.

i posted a message on jl.net and it went through fast.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

then it has to be my site.. haha let me see if i have to update my disqus or something.

          • Phonow

            okay. good luck!

          • http://etane.net/ etane

i updated but same problem… so far it seems

          • Phonow

yes, the problem is the same. I am hoping this is temporary and just goes away. lol.

i have to start making dinner… no trofie tonight. :)

          • http://etane.net/ etane

freezing is only this page. works fine in the other pages.

          • Phonow

saran wrap, for the metro male

          • http://etane.net/ etane

can use saran wrap in place of prophylactic?

          • Phonow

no, but it will keep your microwave safe from splatters. (wag finger)

          • http://etane.net/ etane

isn’t that the whole point, to prevent splatter

          • Phonow

haha. you Really need to get back to jl.net.

you’re trolling your own site. lol

          • http://etane.net/ etane

well i created this place solely to troll.

          • Phonow

so if I bring people here, i am your accomplice in crime.

          • http://etane.net/ etane

            troll away

          • Phonow

            delete this post– asgras picture.

          • Phonow

lol. remember when i told you I’d push your website when I had the chance? I do. :)

            GenoaIsInItaly.com. lol

    • Phonow

      testing again

  • webattorney

    Good photos man.

    • http://etane.net/ etane

      thx! and welcome!
